Our client is a trusted SAP partner with experience implementing solutions across Extended Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, RISE, S/4, Enterprise Asset Management, and broader business transformation initiatives.
They are seeking a Capture Director to support federal growth across DoD and civilian agencies. SAP experience is strongly preferred, but candidates with strong federal capture experience in supply chain, inventory management, warehouse management, logistics, or related enterprise technology environments will also be considered.
About the Role
The Capture Director will support Business Development Executives by leading capture activities that improve competitive positioning, strengthen bid readiness, and support proposal development. This role requires a strategic, organized, and highly collaborative capture professional who can develop win strategies, build partner teams, shape opportunities, and guide pursuits through the capture lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Capture and Pursuit Strategy
Develop comprehensive win strategies and execute capture plans aligned with customer needs and company capabilities.
Support Business Development Executives with competitive analysis, customer assessments, and opportunity qualification.
Identify, evaluate, and build winning teams, including strategic partners and subcontractors.
Support budget planning for bid and proposal efforts, including estimating B&P requirements and helping secure internal approvals.
Collaborate with service line leaders to develop initial solution concepts.
Navigate OEMs, software providers, and teaming partners within the federal market.
Proposal Readiness and Bid Preparation
Partner with the Proposal Center to identify proposal resources, including proposal managers and core team members.
Support development of proposal outlines, content frameworks, win themes, discriminators, solution approaches, and price-to-win strategies.
Update B&P budgets based on refined scope and proposal requirements.
Assist with planning color team reviews, including Pink, Red, and Gold reviews.
Help develop proposal calendars, collaboration structures, templates, and supporting tools.
Support technical solution leads in finalizing solution approaches for federal opportunities.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of capture management experience within federal contracting.
Experience supporting DoD and/or FedCiv captures.
Experience with SAP-related opportunities strongly preferred.
Proven experience supporting captures and proposals valued at $50M+.
Familiarity with federal procurement methods, including IDIQs, BPAs, GWACs, set-asides, CSOs, OTAs, CRADAs, and related acquisition approaches.
Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle and capture best practices.
Ability to develop and execute capture plans and proposal strategies.
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.
Experience working with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Unanet, Salesforce, or similar platforms.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
U.S. citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Preferred Background
SAP federal market experience.
Supply chain, inventory management, warehouse management, logistics, or enterprise asset management experience.
Existing knowledge of federal systems integrators, OEMs, software providers, and teaming partners.
Experience supporting large federal technology transformation captures.
